The Institute of Water is licensed to register members on the register of engineers and technicians maintained by the Engineering Council. The registration has three sections:
- Chartered Engineer (CEng)
- Incorporated Engineer (IEng)
- Engineering Technician (EngTech)
All candidates for registration as Engineering Technician, Incorporated Engineer and Chartered Engineer must satisfy the competence standards set by the Engineering Council and be members of a professional body such as the Institute of Water.
The Institute of Water’s Michael Fowle set out the case for registration in a industry publication. You can download the article here.
